Design
After getting our movie storyline clear, each group came up with an idea for an episode to fit into the overall plot. My group came up with a story line of how the kids escaped the camps and why they wanted to leave. We then pitched our ideas to the class and we all decided what order the episodes should be arranged in so that the movie made the most sense. My group got sorted as episode 2, which we named, "The Escape". We then got critique on our plot pitch and refined it into a storyboard. Then, we moved into creating our own screenplays. Each group member was responsible for one part of the screenplay, the inciting event, rising action, climax, the falling action, or the resolution. |
Feedback
After finishing our first draft of our screenplay, we went through our first round of critique as a class. After each screenplay got five different people's critique, we refined them. Then, we brought the screenplay to Sara for a second round of critique. At this point we began to film. However, as we filmed and as we edited, we were constantly getting critique and using it to refine our film. Personally, our episode loosely follows our screenplay because the amount of refinement we used as filming was amazing. |
